From 2014 (Sochi) to 2024 (Paris): The Meteoric Collapse of the Olympic Games

Jeremiah 6:15  “Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No! They were not ashamed at all. Nor did they know how to blush.”

Just to be sure we know this acronym, LGBTQ stands for “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer. It is for people who are not heterosexual. It is also for people who do not identify with their birth sex.

Americans agree that everyone has the God-given right to live their life freely, provided their life choices do not infringe on other’s freedoms. This includes religious communities, ethnic communities and yes, the LGBTQ community. But gay fitness guru Jillian Michaels took to social media to address the LGBTQ Community for their mockery of ‘The Last Supper’ in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“Dear fellow gays… We demand tolerance and respect but then make a mockery of something sacred for over 2 billion Christians. This type of hypocrisy and lack of understanding is a bad look. We get outraged when the extreme right bashes us, but then we do this shit. What kind of reaction do you think they will have towards the LGBTQ+ community after this. This is how we build barriers, not break them down.”

The explanation for gay mockery of Jesus Christ? Thomas Jolly, the gay artist who directed this skit, claimed there was never any intention to denigrate anyone, and the scene had not been inspired by “The Last Supper” but depicted a pagan feast linked to the gods of Olympus. That explanation quickly fell apart.

Hugo Bardin, one of the drag queens in the mockery, admitted that “What bothers people is not that we are reproducing this painting (he is referring directly to DeVinci’s ‘Last Supper’ painting). What bothers people is that queer people are reproducing it.”  Everyone knew the intention of this opening Olympic skit.

As journalist Kyle Becker echoed on X: “The opening ceremony was filled with transgender mockery of the Last Supper, the Golden Calf idol, and even the Pale Horse from the Book of Revelation. The Olympics has made it clear that Christian viewers are not welcome.”

This is the extreme side of LGBTQ ideology – public intolerance and bigotry – now in the Olympic games. In this 2024 Paris Olympics, it goes way beyond mocking Christianity. In this Olympics, LGBTQ ideology has been put into practice in one of the most brutal Olympic sports – boxing. The International Olympics Committee has allowed biological men who identify as women to compete in women’s boxing.

How has this played out? We found out on August 1. Within 46 seconds of her fight with biological male boxer Imane Khelif of Algeria, Italian woman fighter Angela Carini quit, falling to her knees after taking two punches to her face, exclaiming “this is so unjust.” Millions watched the event and voiced their outrage.

Khelif was disqualified from competing in last year’s Women’s World Boxing Championships by the International Boxing Association (IBA). In fact, on July 31, the day before the Olympic fight, the IBC issued a statement as to why Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 Women’s World Boxing Championships in New Delhi, and why the International Olympic Committee (IOC) should ban him from the Olympics.

“On 24 March 2023, IBA disqualified athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif from the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships. They failed to meet the eligibility criteria to participate in the women’s competition, as set in the IBA Regulations. Testing conclusively indicated that both athletes did not meet the required necessary eligibility criteria and were found to have competitive advantages over female competitors.”

How did the Olympics get to this? If we look back only 10 years to the Soshi Olympics in Russia, the opening ceremony featured beautiful, artistic dance routines showcasing the skill, elegance and strength that is embodied in the Olympic competitors. 10 years later in Paris, sexual promiscuity and LGBTQ lifestyle is how we open the Olympics? And assault and battery are on display in women’s boxing?

In this week’s verse, God pronounces judgment on Judah for their leud behavior in worshipping false gods in rituals of perverse, sexual immorality in pagan temples. Jeremiah goes so far to tell the Jews that they did not even blush: “Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No! They were not ashamed at all. Nor did they know how to blush.”

How did Judah become so perverted? Jeremiah tells us in verse 10: “The word of the Lord is a reproach to them. They have no delight in it.” We are seeing Judah’s perversity reborn in the Paris Olympics.
