Abortion & The Radical Democratic Party: Shaking Their Fist at Jesus Christ

Luke 22:19  “This is My body, which is given up for you.”

“Satan would kill God if he could, but he can’t. So, he kills babies because he knows that hurts the Father’s heart. Abortion is the sacrament of Satan. Abortion says ‘You (the baby) must die so I (the mother) can live.’ But Jesus Christ says in verses like Luke 22:19 that ‘I must die so you can live.’ And of all locations, Jesus enters humanity in a uterus to redeem us for our sins. Satan murders babies in the uterus.

Professor Peter Kreeft tells us ‘Do you know, church, that abortion is the demonic parody of the Eucharist?’ Abortion uses the same holy words: ‘This is my body,’ but with the opposite, blasphemous meaning.

Do you think it is a coincidence that the central phrase of the entire abortion industrial complex and the culture of death today are the same words of our Savior at the First Communion: ‘This is My body?’”

This is from Seth Gruber, founder of White Rose Resistance, a Christian organization for the life of babies. Seth explains what most of us miss, as our culture has become so irreligious: “My body, my choice.”

Back in 2016, Americans listed these top 6 issues in voting for the next President: 1) the economy, 2) terrorism, 3) foreign policy, 4) health care, 5) gun policy and 6) immigration. Abortion was 13th in the poll.

In 2024 – just 8 years later and within 60 days of our Presidential Election – the top 5 issues are 1) the economy, 2) immigration, 3) abortion, 4) foreign policy and 5) taxes. Abortion has risen to 3rd.

We have seen a seismic shift in American culture’s fixation on abortion as a “human right” – “my body, my choice.” The Democratic Party has successfully made the murder of babies in the womb something more Americans see as a right. Although 13th in 2016, it was #1 at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

In ‘The Weekly Standard,’ John McCormack highlighted the DNC’s obsession with abortion: “There’s been a growing push on the left to not only defend abortion as a necessary evil but to celebrate it as a positive good. Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, told the story of the time she aborted her first child because it was an inconvenient time to become a parent: ‘I wanted a family, but it was the wrong time. I made the decision that was best for me – to have an abortion.’” The message: “My body, my choice.”

The DNC obsession over abortion was so strong that even liberal political analyst Cokie Roberts criticized the party on ABC’s ‘This Week’: “I think this Democratic Convention was really over-the-top in terms of abortion. Every single speaker talked about abortion. At some point, you start to alienate people.”

In 2018, Senator Ben Sasse introduced the bill “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act”, which requires practitioners to “ensure that the child born alive is immediately transported and admitted to a hospital.” Violators could be charged with first-degree murder. The Democrats blocked Sasse’s bill.

Sasse thought it would be easy to get bipartisan support, telling Senators “Surely, infanticide is wrong. A few years ago, the abortion lobby was clear in hoping that abortion would be ‘safe, and legal, but rare.’ Now we’re talking about keeping the baby comfortable while the doctors have a debate about infanticide.”

Then in the 2020 Midterm elections, Victor Davis Hansen explained how the Republicans failed miserably by completely misreading the Young Voter (ages 18-29) and their focus on abortion rights: “Biden told young women that they would die without unlimited abortions. Republicans wrongly assumed they cared most about inflation, unaffordable food and fuel and an open border.”

This past month at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, the #1 talking point was still abortion – the same as in 2016. Listen to Oprah Winfrey: “If you do not have autonomy over your own body – if you cannot control when and how you choose to bring your children into this world and how they are raised and supported – there is no American dream.” She conflates murdering a baby in the womb with giving birth to a baby. Do you see the lie promoted by the Democratic Party? Its still the same – “My body, my choice.”

Our young adults are more irreligious as ever, so they are attracted to the Democratic message of “my body, my choice.” The Democratic Party is going after them, and they are succeeding. Because our young adults have turned their backs on biblical values, Seth Gruber is right – abortion’s best kept secret in America is its demonic parody against Christ and His voluntary death on the Cross for us.
