What We Learned with the Trump Victory: It’s about Our Pro-Life Common Sense

Genesis 1:26 “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…”

Wow – we can tie the 2024 Trump victory to Common Sense and Pro-Life? Let’s start with common sense. Watching the Election results Tuesday evening, Americans witnessed several reversals in voting.

Reversal #1: Hispanics in PA went from giving Biden in 2020 a 42% advantage over Trump to giving Harris only a 17% advantage, meaning that Trump was able to capture 25% more of the Hispanic vote in PA. In MI, the swing was even greater. Hispanics went from giving Biden in 2020 an 11% advantage in MI to giving Trump a 25% advantage over Harris, which is a 36% swing.

Reversal #2: Black men. In NC, Blacks went from giving Biden in 2020 92% of their vote and Trump 7% to giving Harris 87% (5% drop) and Trump 12% (5% lift). In PA, Blacks went from giving Biden in 2020 92% and Trump 7% to giving Harris 89% (3% drop) and Trump 10% (3% lift). But the greatest reversal was in WI, where Black voters made a dramatic 13% shift towards Trump. In 2020, Biden received 92% and Trump 8%, but in 2024 Harris received only 77% (15% drop) and Trump 21% (13% lift).

Why this Trump Victory? Common Sense. Here’s just 22 messages from our government, the news, big tech social media, education and entertainment industries. But Common Sense tells us all 22 just ain’t so.

 1. The Economy continues to improve (while families struggle with the basics).
2. Climate Change (including electric vehicles) is more critical than Energy Independence.
3. We don’t have crime increasing in major cities (such as Chicago, New York, Minneapolis).
4. Men who live like traditional, biblical men are “toxically masculine.”
5. Our government financially support illegal immigrants over us.
6. We cannot know the difference between a man or a woman.
7. Biological men can compete in biological women’s sports.
8. Drag queen story hour for our children is educational, not creepy and evil.
9. Our children can choose their own gender without us as parents being involved.
10. Our tax dollars are available to prisoners to get sex change operations.
11. Science cannot tell us if the baby in the womb is one of us.
12. It is OK to murder babies in the womb at 9 months, and even after birth.
13. Over 55 million students must be shut out of 124,000 schools due to COVID.
14. The Southern border is secure. There is no threat from illegals entering our country.
15. Illegal immigrants murdering Americans isn’t largely due to an open border.
16. 73,000 fentanyl deaths in just one year (2022) isn’t largely due to an open border.
17. Israel needs to call a cease fire, but our government needs to fund Iran.
18. Our greatest threat to democracy is not external (China), but internal (MAGA).
19. Our universities are not indoctrinating our youth with Marxist ideology.
20. We are a White Supremacist nation founded on racism and slavery.
21. We are a nation filled with hate towards each other.
22. God is whoever you make him (or her) out to be, and we must keep him (or her) out of politics.

Now, how does Trump’s victory also point us to “Pro-Life”? Remember what Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Tom Parker told us in February this year, on their ruling over IVF (in-vitro fertilization): “Before birth, all human beings have the image of God, and their lives cannot be destroyed without effacing His glory.”

We know the 22 messages are lies because we have an intuitive, common sense “inner voice” telling us they are lies. From where does the “inner voice” originate? From our “Pro-Life” creation in the womb.

This week’s verse says each of us is created by a loving God in His image, in our mother’s womb. Jesus said in John 4:24, “God is Spirit.” And we are His children – spiritual beings in physical bodies. At creation, He breathed into each of us His image – the “Imago Dei” (Genesis 2:7). This sets our relationship with Him.

And even though many of us ignore the “inner voice” He gave us, we each have God’s value system as His image bearers. That is why being “Pro-Life” is also Common Sense. Trump’s victory screams this truth.
